I chose this vet wrap from AVINLI to use on our 9 year old dog. She had always had a habit of licking her leg. At times it gets out of control- and her licking creates a wound. We do our best to stay on top of it so that we can wrap her leg before it gets to a wound. This wrap compares to the type used when I give blood. My husband calls it coban.Wrapping and continuing to rewrap her leg when she removes it – is what we have figured out it takes to protect her. If she removes the wrap, we rewrap within a few minutes. After a couple of days, she stops removing the wrap herself and we just remove it to put a fresh bandage on her.This type of wrap is what we use as the second layer. We use a non-stick 4×4 pad, a layer of this and a layer of a tape that is wide but most resembles adhesive tape.This wrap is a good quality and works well for our purposes. The price of $6 at the time of this review is a fantastic value in my opinion. We have had other vet wraps with this paw pattern and in similar colors – that had been treated with a bitter liquid to prevent animals from removing it. This wrap does not have any no-chew treatment This wrap is the basic style. We didn’t find a noticeable difference in whether our dog chewed it off / with the no chew formula or without.
