Antique Cast Iron Lantern Pendant Light from Windsor, Lookout Mountain
$ 91.53
Description Incredible antique cast iron lantern, dating from the 1930’s, and salvaged from the ballroom in the historic “Windsor” home on Lookout Mountain, Tennessee. Built in the 1930s by George and Elizabeth Scholze, the residence reflects the couple’s refined taste and attention to detail. George Scholze, second-generation owner of the prominent Scholze Tannery in Chattanooga, helped earn the city its nickname, “Saddle Capital of the World.” This light fixture is in excellent antique condition, and the clear glass panels are also in good condition with fleabites (pictured). It has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The light measures 15-1/4″ wide (square), 22″ wide (diagonally), 26″ tall, and 45″ long overall.
