Cossariacaru di Scicli Bush Bean Seeds

Old World heirloom bush bean from Italy. The name translates to ‘Sweet Thing from Scicly’ (that’s right, not Sicily). Passed down for generations in families of that area. Pre-1950 this bean was traditionally grown in the moist, alluvial soil near the Modica-Scicli River. For use as a dry bean. Seed is soil sensitive, but has grown in my own gardens as a white bean with delightful pink splashes over the eyes. Was very productive, with very few culls. A very rare & special bean.  2021 seed.  Gratefully received from the wonderful collection of Russ Crow, Woodstock, Illinois.
